is Sonic X a 15?

Well I know the tv show Sonic X is very child friendly over here... but in japan?

I was watching a dvd of Sonic X in my room which had japanese audio and english subtitles... and somone said Sh*t!

, and in other episodes almost 2 s.words each one!
Is the subtitles given just totally wrong or is Sonic X becoming a age 15 in Japan?
